Fall Festival

Oktoberfest at the Rec Room Southern Pines
When:  Friday, October 6th, 1:00pm-12:00 am
Where:  750 SW Broad Street, Southern Pines
The Rec Room is celebrating Oktoberfest ALL day with beer specials, games, and German food from  the new Pinewurst Food Truck. And a costume contest kicks off at 8pm complete with prizes! 

Spooktacular Lights
When:  Nightly during October, 6:30pm- 10:00pm
Where:  135 Fox Run Rd, Pinehurst 
Load up the family in the car and enjoy Spooktacular Lights, brought to you by the same family who puts on Holly Jolly Lights at Christmas time.  Tune your radio to98.9 and enjoy the lights & music from the comfort of your car.  It's fun and free!

Farley Family Lights
When:  Tuesdays and Saturdays, October 6-31st   7:30pm- 9:30pm
Where:  95 Farley Rd, Cameron
With more than 6,000 synchronized lights and special effects-- this has been described not as a light show, but an experience!  Tune your radio to 92.7 and enjoy the lights from the comfort of your car, or venture out for a closer look and enjoy the show over the PA system.  This is a free event. 
(There is NO show if there is rain or other inclement weather.)

Southern Pines Autumnfest
When:  October 7th, 9:00am - 4:00pm
Where:  Downtown Park, Southern Pines
Head to Downtown Southern Pines for the 44th Annual Autumnfest. There will be
lots of vendors, live music & entertainment, the annual 5k, youth sprint races, and
fair food galore!  

Fall Festivities
When:  Saturdays in October, 10:00am-4:00pm
Where:  Eagles Nest Berry Farm, Jackson Springs
Enjoy a festivities at the farm to get bring in the "fall- feels". The kiddos will love the lawn games, Jack O' Launcher,  painting a pumpkin, snacks, music, and picking out their own pumpkin!

White Hill Farms Fall Festival
When:  Saturday, October 7th, 9:00am-4:00pm
Where:  5020 S Plank Road, Cameron  
Enjoy a day on the farm! There will be antique tractors, petting zoo, kids activities, plowing demo, bluegrass music, food vendors, pick your own pumpkin, and more.  Admission is $10.00.  Kids under 2 are free.  Purchase your tickets HERE.

Oktoberfest / Pawtoberfest at Red's
When:  October 7th, 11:00am - 8:00pm
Where:  Red's Corner, Southern Pines
Enjoy a signature pint glass with an Oktoberfest beer and your choice of a Pretzel, an Oktoberfest cookie or a dog cookie for just $12. Kid tickets will be $8 and include a  root beer, a choice of a kids cookie or a dog cookie.  There will also be fun events throughout the day including:  costume contest (for people and paws), live music, vendors, and more! For every ticket sold, a donation will be made to Cared for Canines' #buidthebuilding fund. Father Vincent Capodanno H.S. Octoberfest
When:  Saturday, October 7th, 4:00pm-8:00 pm
Where:  4364 US HWY 1, Vass
Your family will love this outdoor event complete with games, bounce house,
food, and more!  Tickets are available HERE for a dinner plate that includes brats, sauerkraut, potato salad, roll, and bottled water.  You can also sign up for a 2-person corn hole tournament!
 
Fall Carnival at Dunrovin
When:  Friday, October 13th, 2:00pm-7:00pm

Where:  5456 US 1, Vass 
Kids will love the the Fall Carnival at Dunrovin Exotic Animal Sanctuary! Enjoy games, animal encounters, concessions, face painting, photo ops, and more!  All proceeds will support the care of the many furry friends at Dunrovin. 

Pumpkin Decorating Party
When:  Friday, October 13th, 5:30pm-8:30pm
Where:  My Gym Sandhills, 262A Pinehurst Avenue, Southern Pines
Kids ages 3-10 can enjoy an evening of games, spooky stories, pizza, and decorating pumpkins! Make sure to schedule your kiddo's time slot so you and your boo can have a night out! 

Layers of Fear Haunted Trail
When:  Friday & Saturday, October 13-14; 7:00pm-10:00pm
Where:  Campbell House Grounds, Southern Pines
From the moment you enter along a dark, winding road, surrounded by haunted grounds, you are fair game to each and every haunted creature. This event is open to folks of all ages. There is a $5 entry fee.
 
Customer Appreciation Day at Karefree Produce
When:  Saturday, October 14th, 9:00am-3:00pm
Where:  4680 US HWY 15/501, Carthage 
Head down for a day full of fun for everyone! There will be games, a bounce house, a special kid's area, craft vendors,  music,  and pumpkin carving/decorating for the kids. The holiday menu will be out and there will be  food for sampling!

Fall-O-Ween
When:  Saturday, October 21st, 11:00am- 2:00pm
Where:  Malcolm Blue Farm
Grab the kiddos and head down to Malcolm Blue Farm for fun carnival games, inflatables, pony rides, a climbing wall, and more! There will be food vendors and yummy ice cream for you to enjoy. Costumes are encouraged. (no horror, gore, or full face masks please.) This event is for children ages 15 and under. 
Admission: $5 for ages 2-15, all others free

Fall Festival Halloween Horse Camp
When:  Saturday, October 21st, 11:30am-Sunday, October 22nd, 2:30 pm
Where:  Refugio Farm Equestrian Center, 896 Yadkin Road, Southern Pines

Meet and Treat

Where:  Twigg & Co., 206 N Sandhills Boulevard, Aberdeen 
Kids and adults are invited to wear your costumes for this fun shopping event.  Your favorite vendors will be handing out goodies. There will be $3 drinks, live music, and a costume contest! 

Fall Movie in Vass Park
When:  Saturday, October 21st, 7:00-9:00pm
Where:  Sandy Ramey Keith Memorial Park 
Bring a blanket, chair, and spooky attitude to Vass Park for a showing of Hocus Pocus!  This is a free showing for your family to enjoy. Popcorn will be provided!
 
Trick and Treat Trail Ride
When:  Sunday, October 22nd, 9:00am-3:00pm
Where:  Lyell's Meadow, 225 Mile Away Lane, Southern Pines
The Trick-and-Treat Trail Ride through The Walthour-Moss Foundation. This will be open to riders from 9:00am-3:00pm and carriages are welcome from 1:00pm-3:00pm.  Participants will love this marked trail decorated Halloween style!  Plan to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in Lyell's Meadow or purchase food at the on-site concession stand. Fall Community Block Party
When:  Sunday, October 22nd, 5:00pm
Where:  New Covenant Fellowship Church, 1305 Hulsey Road, Carthage

Fourth Friday Market with Trick-or-Treating

Where:  Downtown Aberdeen
Come enjoy food, live music, and local vendors at fourth Friday in downtown Aberdeen. This month, bring the kiddos in their Halloween costumes to do a little trick-or-treating!

Downtown Southern Pines Trick-or-Treating and Boofest
When:  Friday, October 27th, 5:00pm-7:00pm
Where:  Downtown Southern Pines
Ages 12 and under are invited to trick-or-treat at the local downtown businesses in Southern Pines at 5 pm, then head to Downtown Park at 5:30 pm for Halloween-themed games, crafts, activities, and the best dog costume raffle.  All children must be accompanied by a guardian.

Trick-or-Treating and Yard Games
When:  Friday, October 27th, 5:00pm-7:00pm
Where:  Maison Realty Group,  120 N Ashe Street, Southern Pines
Ages 12 and under are invited to trick-or-treat and play yard games with the real estate agents of Maison/MCL!  
 
The Festival D'Avion

Market Fun

The market will be having a costume contest and a scavenger hunt for kids 12 and under! The fun starts at 10am.

Where:  Rec Room Southern Pines
Rec Room Southern Pines has Halloween fun planned for the whole family! The kids party is kicking off at 12:00pm with  trick or treating, a costume contest, and other fun activities. From 9:00pm-12:00am, it's time for the adults with a DJ and spooky themed drinks!
 
Halloween Open House

Where:  TEAMWORKZ Organization, 152 S. Stephens Street, Southern Pines
Come dressed in your Halloween costume and learn more about TEAMWORKZ.  Hot dogs, school supplies, clothes, and hygiene products will be given out. Have a donation to make, or want to learn how to be part of the team? This is the perfect time to get involved. 

Seven Lakes Fire & Rescue Open House
When:  Saturday, October 28th, 1:00pm- 4:00pm
Where:  718 Seven Lakes Drive, West End
Come meet your local firefighters and ride in a fire truck! There will also be an inflatable bounce house, free hot dogs, trick-or-treating, putt-putt challenge, DUI course, and more! Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Fall Festival

Village of Pinehurst Oktoberfest

Where:  Tufts Memorial Park, Village of Pinehurst 
Kick off a fun afternoon with Kinderfest from 4:00pm-6:00pm. This will feature a fun family festival with crafts and a Halloween costume show-off. NEW this year-- participating shops in the Village will offer trick-or treating during Kinderfest! Traditional Oktoberfest activities will follow with German music for all to enjoy. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day. Outside beverages are not permitted.

Halloween Event

Where:  Taylortown Park
Enjoy a family Trunk or Treat event at Taylortown Park. There will be face painting, bounce houses, music, food, and costume contests. There are prizes to be won!

Spooky Stories with the Carthage Museum

Where:  Carthage Historical Committee & Museum
Join the Carthage Museum for an afternoon of spooky (and not-so-spooky) stories. They'll be in costume and they hope you will be, too! Challenge yourself to see if you can find all of the ghosts they have hidden.
