Adults can enjoy Frights & Pints movie night with yard games and brews. Good for a date night out or a night away from the kiddos. Yard games, beer, and concessions will be out before the movie begins. Don’t forget your lawn chairs or blankets! Rain date will be the same time, the following day.

Southern Pines Autumnfest

14th Annual Oktoberfest Celebration

Downtown Candy Crawl & Movie by the Lake

Explore participating downtown businesses from 4-6pm for delicious treats and special surprises. This sweet event is perfect for families, friends, and anyone who loves a good candy haul! After, head over to Aberdeen Lake Park for the 7pm showing of "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice."

Downtown Southern Pines Trick-or-Treating and Boofest
When:  Friday, October 24th, 5:00pm-7:30pm
Where:  Downtown Southern Pines
Ages 12 and under are invited to trick-or-treat at the local downtown businesses in Southern Pines at 5pm, then head to Downtown Park at 5:30pm for Halloween-themed games, crafts, activities, the best dog costume raffle, and magic show from 7-7:30pm.  All children must be accompanied by a guardian.

Fall-O-Ween
When:  Saturday, October 25th, 11:00am- 2:00pm
Where:  Malcolm Blue Farm
Grab the kiddos and head down to Malcolm Blue Farm for fun carnival games, inflatables, pony rides, a climbing wall, and more! There will be food/treat vendors on site. Costumes are encouraged. This event is for children ages 15 and under. Admission: $5 for ages 2-15, all others free.

Village of Pinehurst Oktoberfest
When:  Saturday, October 25th, 4:00pm-9:00pm
Where:  Tufts Memorial Park, Village of Pinehurst
Kick off a fun afternoon with Kinderfest from 4:00pm-6:00pm. This will feature a fun family festival with crafts and a Halloween costume show-off.  Traditional Oktoberfest activities will follow with German music for all to enjoy. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day. Outside beverages are not permitted; however, outside picnic baskets are allowed.

WMF Trick and Treat Trail Ride
When:  Sunday, October 26th, 9:00am-4:00pm
Where:  Lyell's Meadow, 225 Mile Away Lane, Southern Pines
Dig out your horse paint and monster masks and join us for a Trick-and-Treat Trail Ride through The Walthour-Moss Foundation. Gallop like a ghoul, trot along like Ichabod Crane, or walk and wander. There will be no time limit. Costumes are optional. Entry fee: $30 per adult and $20 per child through October 21. Registration accepted day of $40 per adult and $25 per child.

Spooky Stories with the Carthage Museum

Where:  Carthage Historical Committee & Museum
Join the Carthage Museum for an afternoon of spooky (and not-so-spooky) stories. They'll be in costume and they hope you will be, too! Challenge yourself to see if you can find all of the ghosts they have hidden.

Trick-or Treat at Maison & MCL Realty
When: Friday, October 31st, 6:00pm-8:00pm

Bring the kids to Maison Realty Group for a safe and spooky night of Halloween Fun!  Join them for trick-or-treating, candy, and lots of smiles. Costumes are encouraged – the sillier, spookier, or sweeter the better! 

Spooky Halloween Costume Party

It’s time to get spooky! Get ready for a night full of costumes, live music, and Halloween fun. Prizes for best couple, women, men, and kids costumes. The Grey Abbey Band starts playing at 7pm. Costumes encouraged, tricks allowed, and treats guaranteed.

Farley Family Lights

Where:  95 Farley Rd, Cameron
With more than 6,000 synchronized lights and special effects this has been described as not just a light show, but an experience! Tune your radio to 92.7 and enjoy the lights from the comfort of your car, or venture out for a closer look and enjoy the show over the PA system. This is a free event. (There is NO light show if there is rain or other inclement weather.)

The Haunted Forest at Sycamore Lodge
