Lights of Halloween

When:  October 4,5,11,12,18,19,25 and 26 ; 6:00-8:30pm

Where:  Broken Plow Farn, 1851 Avents Ferry Rd, Sanford, NC 2733

Broken Plow Farm Presents Lights of Halloween. Bring your little ghouls and

goblins out for this one of a kind kid friendly hayride around the farm. You will enjoy

a 30 minute hayride with lighted Halloween displays and a special light show at the end.  Tickets are $10 for ages 2 years or older, ticket sales begin at 6:00pm with hayrides starting around 7pm. Ticket gives you access to the play area, petting zoo and the hay ride.

At the Halloween-themed Wee Ones, we’ll talk about BONES! Many of our spooky friends such as bats, snakes and owls have bones, so let’s learn more about them as we read a book, do some activities and make a craft.

All activities will be geared towards 3 to 5 year-olds and meant for parents to do with their children.  

The Haunted Forest at Sycamore Lodge

This is an annual fundraising event for Pinehurst Elementary School. Trunk or Treat and Carnival

Downtown Southern Pines Trick-or-Treating

Who:  Children Ages 10 and Under (Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)

Where:  Downtown Southern Pines

When: Friday, October 25th, 5:00-7pm 

Ages 10 and under can trick-or-treat participating downtown businesses (look for signs on store fronts) from 5:00-5:45pm, then head over to Downtown Park for Halloween fun from 5:45 - 7pm. There will be edible crafts, games, Halloween bingo and more!  Make the night of it and stay for Movie in the Pines - "Hotel Transylvania 2" starting at 7pm.

Fall-O-Ween Festival

When:  Saturday, October 26th from 11am-2pm

Where:  Malcolm Blue Farm

The Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department is hosting their annual Fall-O-Ween Festival, which will consist of  fun carnival games, inflatables and a climbing wall. This event is for children ages 15 and under, and the cost is $5 per child. There will be food truck vendors and ice cream. Put on your best costumes and join in the fun! 

Boo at the Zoo

When:  Saturday/Sunday October 26th/27th from 9am-5pm

Where:  Aloha Safari Zoo, 159 Mini Lane, Cameron

Come out and join Aloha Safari Zoo for their 4th annual Boo at the Aloha Zoo! They will have games for the kids, vendors, and trick or treating!  Make sure to dress up in your awesome costumes and bring a candy bucket!

Pinehurst Oktoberfest 

When:  Saturday, October 26th from 4:00pm-9:00pm

Where:  Tufts Memorial Park

KINDERFEST (4-6pm)- games, crafts, face paint and a Halloween costume contest 

OKTOBERFEST (6-9pm) - The fun continues in the evening for adults from 6-9 pm with a traditional Oktoberfest featuring German music, a stein-holding contest, and stein relay races. Traditional German food and beverages will be available to purchase throughout the day!

Where:  Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1517 Luther Way Southern Pines

Fun for the whole family, free and open to the public!  Come rain or shine and enjoy food, fun, candy and costumes!

Trick and Treat Trail Ride

When:  Sunday, October 27th, 9:00am- 3:00pm

Where: 225 Mile Away Lane, Southern Pines, NC 28287

The Trick-and-Treat Trail Ride through The Walthour-Moss Foundation will be held on October 27 at Lyell's Meadow.  A marked trail decorated in Halloween style will be open  to riders from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Carriages are welcome from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Gallop like a ghoul, trot along like Ichabod Crane, or walk and wander.

Plan to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in Lyell's Meadow or purchase food at the on-site concession stand. Entries are $25 per adult or carriage and $15 per child under the age of 17 through October 26.  Entries received on Sunday, October 27 are $30 per adult or carriage and $20 per child.No time limit. Costumes are optional.

Sandhills Bowling Center Halloween Party

When:  Sunday, October 27th, 2:15-4:15pm

Wear your costumes!  2 hours of unlimited COSMIC BOWLING and FREE use of rental shoes for only $14!  Pizza and soda!  Costume Contest for Most Original Costume, Scariest Costume and Best Overall Costume

The Moore County Airport will be hosting a Trick 0r Treat Day for all those little Ghosts, Witches,  Goblins, Super Heroes, Princesses, &  all Trick-or-Treaters alike.
