Oktoberfest at the Rec Room Southern Pines

The Rec Room is celebrating Oktoberfest ALL day with beer specials, games,
and German food from  the new Pinewurst Food Truck. And a costume
contest kicks off at 8pm complete with prizes! 

Southern Pines Autumnfest
When:    October 7th, 9am - 4pm
Where:  Downtown Park, Southern PinesHead to Downtown Southern Pines
for the 44th Annual Autumnfest. There will be lots of vendors, live music & entertainment, the annual 5k, youth sprint races, and fair food galore!  
 
Father Vincent Capodanno H.S. Octoberfest 
When:    Saturday, October 7th, 4:00pm-8:00 pm
Where:  4364 US HWY 1, Vass
Your family will love this outdoor event complete with games, bounce house,
food, and more!  Tickets are available HERE for a dinner plate that included brats, sauerkraut, potato salad, roll, and bottled water.  You can also sign up for a 2 person corn hole tournament!
 
Pumpkin Decorating Party
When:    Friday, October 13th, 5:30pm-8:30pm
Where:  My Gym Sandhills, 262A Pinehurst Avenue, Southern Pines
Kids ages 3-10 can enjoy an evening of games, spooky stories, pizza, and
decorating pumpkins! Make sure to schedule your kiddo's timeslot so you
and your boo can have a night out! 
 
Oktoberfest / Pawtoberfest at Red's  
When:    October 7th, 11am - 8pm
Where:  Red's Corner, Southern Pines
Enjoy a signature pint glass with an Oktoberfest beer and your choice of a Pretzel,
an Oktoberfest cookie or a dog cookie for just $12. Kid tickets will be $8 and include a  root beer, a choice of a kids cookie or a dog cookie.  There will also be fun events throughout the day including:  costume contest (for people and paws), live music, vendors, and more! For every ticket sold, a donation will be made to Cared for Canines' #buidthebuilding fund. White Hill Farms Fall Festival
When:    Saturday, October 7th, 9am-4pm
Where:  5020 S Plank Road, Cameron  
Enjoy a day on the farm! There will be antique tractors, petting zoo, kids activities, plowing demo, bluegrass music, food vendors, pick your own pumpkin, and more.  Admission is $10.00.  Kids under 2 are free.  Purchase your ticket HERE 

Customer Appreciation Day at Karefree Produce
When:    Saturday, October 14th, 9am-3pm
Where:  4680 US HWY 15/501, Carthage 
Head down for a day full of fun for everyone! There will be games, a bounce house,
a special kid's area, craft vendors,  music,  and pumpkin carving/decorating for the kids. The holiday menu will be out and there will be  food for sampling!
 
Spooktacular Lights
When:     Nightly during October, 6:30pm- 10pm
Where:  135 Fox Run Rd, Pinehurst 
Load up the family in the car and enjoy Spooktacular Lights, brought to you by the same family who puts on Holly Jolly Lights at Christmas time.  Tune your radio to
98.9 and enjoy the lights & music from the comfort of your car.  It's fun and free!

Farley Family Lights
When:    October 3-31st (except on Fridays), 7:30pm- 9:30pm
Where:  95 Farley Rd, Cameron
With more than 6,000 synchronized lights and special effects-- this has been described not as a light show, but an experience!  Tune your radio to 92.7 and
enjoy the lights from the comfort of your car, or venture out for a closer look
and enjoy the show over the PA system.  This is a free event.
(There is NO show if there is rain or other inclement weather.)
 
Sycamore Lodge Haunted Forest
When:    Saturdays, October 15th, 22nd, and 29th - 7:30-11:30pm
Where:  1059 Sycamore Lane, Jackson Springs, NC 27281 
There is no website for this event, but we have all the details right here.  Head to Sycamore Lodge Resort for a creepy walk through the forest.  Enter if you dare! This
is not recommended for small children or sensitive adults.  The cost is $15 at the door/$13 with Military ID.  100% of the proceeds donated to Lymphoma Society.
 
Meet and Treat
When:    Saturday, October 21st, 5-9pm
Where:  Twigg & Co.
Kids and adults are invited to wear your costumes for this fun shopping event.  Your favorite vendors will be handing out goodies. There will be $3 drinks, live music,  and   a costume contest! 

Downtown Southern Pines Trick-or-Treating and Boofest 
Where:  Downtown Southern Pines
When:   Friday, October 20th, 5:00-9:00pm
Ages 12 and under are invited to trick-or-treat at the local downtown businesses in Southern Pines at 5 pm, then head to Downtown Park at 5:30 pm for Halloween-themed games, crafts, activities, and the best dog costume raffle. Stay afterward for the showing
of Hotel Transylvania starting at 6:45 pm. All children must be accompanied by a guardian.
 
The Sandhills Have Eyes Zombie Run
When:   Saturday, October 22nd, 4:00pm
Where:  Sandhills Community College, 3395 Airport Rd
This non-timed run will take you through 2.2 miles of terror, evading zombies at every turn. Participants will wear flags that zombies will try and grab from you. Zombies will not be aggressive and will only go after your flag (they’re like brains to a zombie). Participants must be 12 years of age and older. No strollers or pets allowed. Costumes are encouraged.  Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity. Click HERE to register. 
 
Village of Pinehurst Oktoberfest  
When:    Saturday, October 28th, 4pm-9pm
Where:  Tufts Memorial Park, Village of Pinehurst
Kick off a fun afternoon with Kinderfest from 4pm-6pm. This will feature a fun family festival with crafts and a Halloween costume show-off. Traditional Oktoberfest activities will follow with German music for all to enjoy. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day. Outside beverages are not permitted. 
 
Fall-O-Ween  
When:    Saturday, October 21st, 11am- 2pm
Where:  Malcolm Blue Farm
Grab the kiddos and head down to Malcolm Blue Farm for fun carnival games, inflatables, pony rides, a climbing wall, and more! There will be food vendors and yummy ice cream for you to enjoy. Costumes are encouraged. (no horror, gore, or full face masks please.)This event is for children ages 15 and under. 
 
Spooktacular Halloween Party

Where:   Tyson Sinclair Building, Downtown Carthage
This fun event in downtown Carthage will feature a kid's Halloween costume and free ice cream!
 
Fall Festival

Enjoy a child-friendly costume contest, cake walk, chili contest, trunk or treat, hot dog dinner and more!
 
Trick and Treat Trail Ride 
When:   Sunday, October 22nd, 9am-3pm
Where:  Lyell's Meadow, 225 Mile Away Lane, Southern Pines
The Trick-and-Treat Trail Ride through The Walthour-Moss Foundation. This will be open to riders from 9am-3pm and carriages are welcome from 1pm-3pm.  Participants will love this marked trail decorated Halloween style!  Plan to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in Lyell's Meadow or purchase food at the on-site concession stand. Layers of Fear Haunted Trail
When:    Friday & Saturday, October 13-14; 7-10pm
Where:  Campbell House Grounds, Southern Pines
From the moment you enter along a dark, winding road, surrounded by haunted grounds, you are fair game to each and every haunted creature. This event is open to all ages. There is a $5 entry fee.
 
The Festival D'Avion

The Festival D’Avion offers a unique collection of special events/activities, displays/exhibits, entertainment and food and beverage options for the entire

Harley-Ween

Where:  Cox's Double Eagle Harley-Davidson
Stop by for a Halloween event for the whole family. Trunk or treat for the kids, witches' brew for the BIG kids! There will be a costume contest for both kids and adults at 2pm.  Two Guns BBQ food truck  and Hatchet Brewing Company will be on site. 

Seven Lakes Fire & Rescue Open House
When:    Saturday, October 29th, 1:00pm- 4:00pm
Where:  718 Seven Lakes Drive, West End
Come meet your local firefighters and ride in a fire truck! There will also be an inflatable bounce house, free hot dogs, candy, and educational information.
Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Bowl-o-Ween
When:  Saturday, October 29th, 5:00pm-7:00pm
Where:  Sandhills Bowling Center, Inc.
2 hours of family bowling with face painting, wooden pumpkin decoration, kid's goodie bags, and a kid's dinner!  Don't forget your costume for the kid's costume contest at 7pm!  Give them a call to reserve your lane. 

Fall Festival

Where:  Emmanuel Baptist Church, 632 McCrimmon Road, Carthage
Free!  Games, Food, Music, Activities.  Christian or fun-themed costumes are welcomed. Please no scary ones!

Harvest Festival ** need time

Where:  Culdee Presbyterian  Church, 916 NC Hwy 73, West End
Free! Enjoy a live auction, country store, fun activities for kids,  a chicken and dumpling fundraising dinner, and more! All proceeds benefit the church missions giving and maintenance funds. 
 
Trick-or-Treat Trail

Where:  Weymouth Woods - Sandhills Nature Preserve
Put on your costumes for a family-friendly Halloween-themed nature trail with treats along the way.

Haunted Trail
When:    Sunday, October 30th, 5:30-7:30pm
Where:  West End Presbyterian Church
Stop by and travel through the haunted trail--if you dare!  There are 3 levels of 'scare."  Level 1: 5:30-6pm; Level 2: 6-6:60pm, and Level 3: 6:45-7:30pm. This haunted trail is free with a $5 suggested donation to go towards the WEPC youth group.
 
Cypress Point Fire & Rescue Halloween Carnival
When:  Monday, October 31st, 5:30pm-9:00pm
Where:  Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue, 131 S Alma Street, Vass
Enjoy many activities including a Hay-Ride, Trunk or Treat , “Famous” Cake Walk, Costume Contest, and Fire Prevention Fun. For kids 12 and under.
